As everyone knows, summer is finally here!! Although itls just another summer, this one will have it's fair share of things that make it special. Becuase summer finally started, today's #FFF goes out to 5 things I am really excited for about summer!
1 - Sunshine! you have no idea how ready I am to be outside doing things after a long cold winter. I love the midwesst, but when spring comes along I remember just how much I hate the midwest :) . I have a couple of nannying jobs, so I will be able to spend lots of time swimming, playing games, and doing arts and crafts with the kids and I am SOOOO ready!
2 - Being with my best friends! This year was the first year since 6th grade that Kylie, Shelby, Sarah, and I didn't see each other everyday (or close to it)(and YES, I saw Sarah every day, but I still love spending tme with her). So I am super ready for spending time with them. Along with this, I am REALLY ready to see people that I've been living 350+ miles away.
3 - My Summer to do List! Do any of you have this? I do one very year, but I never seem to get everythingcrossde off. That isone of my major goals this summer! You have no Idea. There are 101 items for me to dol. Do you think I can?? I'll keep you posted, look for a post about this more later.
4 - Trips! I love travel (well the idea of it because I'm broke), and summer (for a student) is the perfect time to travel. This summer is my parents 25th anniversary, so were going to the great lakes later this summer. Sarah, Kylie, Shelby, and I took a trip to Omaha last summer, and we want to try to take a vacation together again. Each summer my Aunt and Uncle take my siblings and I in for seperate weeks to get away and do some fun things (mine was this week, geeze!). Plus there are about 5 dream trips Zach and I want to take (but probably wont get to, but it's still fun to think about).
5 - Having money!! Going to college, I did NOT understandwhat my parents meant by "being on your own isn't as much fun as you think." $20 of grocceries each week REALLY adds up. And I can't tell you how nice it will be to FINALLY have some money coming in, not just going out.
BONUS 6 - (I needed ONE more number) Don't get me wrong, I loved school this year, but I am ready to de-stress. I am really looking forward to having time to read again. All semester I felt like I didn't have time to do anything but work on school related things, summer will give me the chance to be back to doing things that I want.
What are you excited for this summer?? Any major plans??
