So it's Mother's Day, again. Is it just me, or does it seem like there is one of these every year?
HAHA (that was funny)
This Mother's Daoy, I want to let my mom know how much she means to me (isn't that the goal every year?). My parents have always been really supportive of me, keeping me motivated when I most wanted to quit. They don't ask anything of me, just that I do the best that I can. And I do. I work really hard to make them proud, but I fall short quite often. For some reason, they still seem to love me.
Before college, I felt smothered, my mom always wanted to know where I was, what I was doing, who i was with. I understood that she only wanted to know because she cared and was worried about me, but it was really annoying. Now that I've been to college, I kind of miss it. There were a couple trips I made home that my parents didn't even know I was on the road. And that was 6 hours out of my day!
I realized that she really did care. And no matter how much I hated it at the time, I know that she loves me. Parents always say that they do things because they love you, and it took leaving for me to see it. I really my mom. When I was sick all I wanted was for her to be there, I wanted her to call in sick for me, to buy me food, to take care of things. I wish I could have seen it before I left for school, just so she could know how much she means to me.
What has your mom done for you? How do you show her your love? What are you doing this Mother's Day
I love you, Mom.
